GOP CHOICE TO HARM ENVIRONMENT BASED ON MISPLACED PRIORITIES Statement from Minority Leader Thissen on GOP Environment, Natural Resources Conference Committee Report

Everything that the House votes on is a choice based on our priorities.

We can choose to protect our water so our children can drink it without getting sick and swim in our lakes safely. We can choose to monitor the air we breathe and keep our land that grows our food fertile.

We can make the streamlined permitting that the governor just enacted actually work, or we can undermine it. We can leave cut timber to lie in our forests or we can harvest that timber for a profit to build our communities.

We can choose to stand up for the Minnesota that is our priority - a Minnesota filled with natural beauty, families camping in state parks, hunters and fishermen enjoying a great catch, and more.

Or we can do what the Republicans are doing with their misplaced priorities. Today, the Republicans will choose to defend the richest 2% as opposed to our Minnesota, and our values.

It’s a choice.
