Statement on Governor's Jobs Bill: Key tool in the job creation toolbox
"As opposed to just talking about jobs, today the Governor took another concrete step to actually create jobs in the private sector. That stands in stark contrast to the Republicans who have pursued the opposite strategy of cutting middle class jobs.
Minnesota is facing a jobs crisis. We must use every tool in the job creation toolbox to put people back to work. The Governor’s jobs bill will immediately get Minnesotans back on the job – rebuilding Main Street so it can keep up with the Wall Street recovery. I look forward to working with him through the legislative process to craft a bonding bill that reflects the needs of communities across the state.
I applaud Governor Dayton’s efforts to get Minnesota working for working people again. Working together with the governor, the House DFL is focused on building broad prosperity for Minnesotans."
