THISSEN APPOINTED TO FRIENDS OF WOOD LAKE NATURE CENTER BOARD

ST. PAUL - State Representative Paul Thissen has been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors for Friends of Wood Lake Nature Center, a group dedicated to fundraising and advocacy for Richfield's Wood Lake Nature Center.

"I am thrilled to help out the Woodlake Nature Center in this way," Thissen said. "I have enjoyed all that Woodlake has to offer for over 30 years. It is truly a treasure in our community."

Wood Lake Nature Center is a 150-acre natural area designed for environmental education. It has three miles of trails and boardwalks and is closed off to pets, bikes and rollerblades. Since it was formed in 1991, Friends of Wood Lake Nature Center has been able to make the difference during tough financial times for the City of Richfield. Thissen's term on the board runs through 2009.
