Rep. Nelson Named Chair of the House Government Operations Committee
St. Paul, Minnesota — On Friday, Speaker of the House-designate Paul Thissen announced the Minnesota House of Representatives Committee structure, schedule, and committee chairs. Thissen named State Representative Michael Nelson (DFL – Brooklyn Park) as the Chair of the House Government Operations Committee.
Rep. Nelson released the following statement on the announcement:
“It is an honor to be named Chair of the House Government Operations Committee. I look forward to working on behalf of my district and all Minnesotans to ensure that their government operates efficiently and serves the people effectively. There is a lot to be done and I’m ready to get to work.
“I would also like to thank my constituents for their continued support. It is an incredible privilege to be your state representative and I will continue to serve you to the best of my ability.”
