Brooklyn Park, Minnesota – Seven apartments were destroyed at the Windsor Gates Apartment in Brooklyn Park when a severe fire started Tuesday, June 22nd. In addition, about 25 residents were displaced. State Representative Mike Nelson, Brooklyn Park, applauded the work of dozens of firefighters who helped put out the blaze and ensure the safety of everyone inside.
“Anytime you have a fire like this you first have to take comfort in the fact that one was hurt badly," said Nelson.
With over two dozen Brooklyn Park residents rendered homeless from the blaze, Nelson called on area residents to pitch in to help out their neighbors and community members.
“There are families who lost everything in this fire,” said Nelson. “As a community, we need to rally around them and do what we can to help them recover.”
Nelson released information on the following ways you can help.
