THANKS TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED IN NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
To the Editor,
Several weeks ago, the City of Brooklyn Park held its annual National Night Out celebration. City officials reported over 170 neighborhood parties registered for the event this year. I joined with Brooklyn Park officials, administrators, staff and local business members to visit some of the parties in neighborhoods throughout the evening.
National Night Out strengthens neighborhood networks and fosters police and community relationships. Cooperative efforts by local and state government coupled with the daily vigilance displayed by citizens like you send a strong message that criminal activity will not be tolerated. Equally important, we strengthen our partnership to create a stronger community.
Whether you were an organizer, a host or someone who took the time to visit with you neighbors during the event, you should feel proud of your involvement. The tremendous success of National Night Out in our area is one more reason that Brooklyn Park remains a great place to live, work and raise a family.
