Hello folks,
Below are two issues that I thought you may be interested in.
1) LEGISLATIVE LISTENING SESSIONS.
As many of you are aware, lawmakers from the Minnesota House and Senate
are holding listening sessions across the state to hear from residents
regarding the Governor’s proposed 2010-2011 budget, and their thoughts
on how to solve the projected $5 billion budget deficit.
The tour is scheduled to make a stop in Woodbury on Monday, February 23
at 6:00 PM in the Central Park Amphitheater, 8595 Central Park Place.
I strongly encourage you to make your voice heard. This group wants
your input. Are you opposed to tax increases? They want to hear it.
Do you want to see reduced spending in a certain area of the state’s
budget? They want to know. Do you want to see a budget area spared
from any budget reductions? This is the place to tell them.
Here is the kicker - if you want to be heard, you need to sign up now.
The committee will only listen to people who “pre-register” for the
event as resident turnout is expected to be high, and the list is
expected to fill up fast. I urge you to visit the following website
http://www.house.leg.state.mn.us/budgettownhallmeetings.asp and sign
up to speak at the Woodbury location to ensure that your legislature
hears how you want your tax dollars spent.
I look forward to seeing you in Woodbury on February 23.
