NEWS AND VIEWS WITH REP. DENNY McNAMARA

Hi everybody,

As we go from summer to fall I wanted to mention a couple of things.

As nearly everyone knows, thousands of people will travel to St. Paul
next week to take part in the Republican National Convention. But not
everyone is aware that many St. Paul streets will be closed due to this
event, which could cause parking problems for those who work and or park
their cars in or near the area.

If you plan on being in St. Paul next week, I’d highly recommend
visiting the City’s website - www.stpaul.gov. On the front of the
page, you’ll find traffic and parking restrictions so you’ll know
which streets will be shut down. If at all possible, I would allow
extra travel time or try to find alternate routes far away from these
areas as traffic, both by car and by foot, will be extremely heavy.

In other news, I only have a few houses left in Cottage Grove on my
annual door-to-door walk through the district, and I should be meeting
with all of those folks in just a few days. I’ve really appreciated
hearing from residents about the issues important to them and their
