Senator Katie Sieben and Rep. Denny McNamara will host a town meeting in Hastings on February 10 to discuss pertinent issues and the legislative session with area residents.
“The legislative session just got underway and we’ve heard the Governor’s ideas in his State of the State,” Senator Sieben said. “We want to hear about issues of concern from the people of Hastings and Denmark and Nininger townships.
Senator Sieben is serving her first term in the Minnesota Senate after serving four years in the Minnesota House of Representatives. Rep. McNamara is serving his third term in the House.
“I served four years in the House with Senator Sieben, and hosting a meeting together is a great way to find out what’s on the minds of the people in our area,” Rep. McNamara said. “It’s a budget-setting session and there are a number of pressing issues to address. We hope to see you at the meeting on the 10th.
The Town Hall meeting will begin at 11 a.m. in the Council Chambers at Hastings City Hall, 101 4th Street.
