Hello from the State Capitol!

Fall is here … the weather is a bit cooler, the leaves on the trees are turning and stores are already selling Halloween costumes! Wasn’t it in the nineties just a few weeks ago? I hope you and your family are well.

I hope you’ll join me on Thursday, October 12, at my annual Senior Fair at Park Ridge in Hastings. It’s located at 901 W. 16th Street and will take place from 9:30-11:00 a.m.

I am proud to be able to host this event that allows many senior citizens and their families an opportunity to meet with local and regional agencies that provide services for seniors. Come share a cup of coffee with me and meet with your neighbors. You might learn about a service that will help yourself or someone you love, or you might find a great volunteer opportunity where you can truly make a difference for one less able. And please pass this invitation along to others whom you think might benefit.
