CORNISH SHOWS HIS SUPPORT FOR RIGHT-TO-LIFE ISSUES

ST. PAUL – State Representative Tony Cornish (R-Good Thunder) joined dozens of Minnesota lawmakers recently to show his continued support for the unborn by attending the annual Pro-Life Rally at the State Capitol in St. Paul. The event is held yearly on the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling that legalized abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy.

“It’s always energizing to see people from the district at the rally,” Cornish said. “I appreciate all the work they do locally and around the state, and I’m pleased they would travel to the Capitol to show their support.”

The rally was organized by the Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL). Rep. Cornish has been a strong supporter of pro-life issues in the past, including the Positive Alternatives Act law, which provides state support for services offered to women facing an unwanted pregnancy.

“Life is the most important issue to fight for, and I will continue to support and sponsor legislation that encourages a person’s right to live,” Cornish said.
