Robling, Beard Set Town Meetings
State Senator Claire Robling (R- Jordan) and State Representative Mike Beard (R-Shakopee), will be holding town hall meetings in Prior Lake and Shakopee on Saturday, January 31st. The meetings will be an opportunity for the public to speak personally with Senator Robling and Representative Beard and for the legislators to provide the public with an update on this year’s session, which began January 6th.
“These meetings help us identify issues the residents of the community feel are most important,” said Beard.
Robling added, “To resolve the daunting budget deficit, we will have to make some tough decisions and think creatively about solutions. I am looking forward to this opportunity to have the citizens of District 35 weigh in with their ideas.”
Senate District 35 includes Shakopee, Savage, Prior Lake, Jordan, Elko New Market and the townships of Sand Creek, Spring Lake, and Credit River.
The town hall meeting in Prior Lake is being held at the Prior Lake Public Library, 16210 Eagle Creek Avenue SE, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. The town hall meeting in Shakopee is being held at the Shakopee Public Library, 235 S Lewis Street, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. For more information please contact Senator Robling’s office at (651) 296-4123.
