ST. PAUL, MN - The Minnesota State Fair begins in just two weeks. Since 1859, Minnesotans have come from every corner of the state to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of The Great Minnesota Get Together. This year Rep. Joe Atkins will again be on hand at the Fair answering constituent questions, taking suggestions for legislation, and spending time with people from the community.
"Who doesn’t love the State Fair?" said Rep. Atkins. “I wouldn’t miss it for anything - and I know my constituents wouldn’t either.”
Rep. Atkins will be at the State Fair on Saturday, September 5th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Minnesota House of Representatives booth located in the Education Building on Cosgrove Street.
“I encourage all of my constituents to meet me at the Fair," said Atkins. "In between cheese curds and pronto pups, I hope all residents of Inver Grove Heights and South St. Paul will stop by to discuss any questions or concerns they have about the last legislative session or the one just around the corner.”
Atkins is serving his fourth term in the Minnesota House of Representatives. He is the Chair of the Commerce and Labor Committee and serves on the Taxes Committee, Energy Finance and Policy Division, and Higher Education and Workforce Development Finance and Policy Division.
