INVER GROVE HEIGHTS TRIVIA CONTEST WINNERS ACE CITY HISTORY QUIZ
The City of Inver Grove Heights recently celebrated the 40th Anniversary of its founding. As a former Inver Grove mayor and longtime resident, State Rep. Joe Atkins could think of no better way to celebrate the event than an Inver Grove Heights History Trivia Contest for kids and adults.
"It gives us all a chance to brush up on our city history," said Atkins, "And to have a little fun in the process."
Contest winners correctly answered questions ranging from, "What is the former name of Cahill Avenue?" to "What crashed in 1958 and caused the Kahl farmhouse to burn down?"
Winners of the contest are:
- Samantha Riess (Simley High School)
- Casey Jane Difronzo (South Grove Elementary)
- Jared Kain and Luke Simmer (Salem Hills Elementary)
- Shawna Horsch (IGH Middle School)
- Jeremy Danner (Pine Bend Elementary)
- Pam Johnson (Adult category)
Winners were treated to Old World Pizza served up by Rep. Atkins and Mayor George Tourville.
