GUNTHER APPOINTED CHAIR OF HOUSE JOBS COMMITTEE
ST. PAUL – Speaker of the House Steve Sviggum has appointed State Representative Bob Gunther (R-Fairmont) Chair of the House Jobs and Economic Opportunity Policy and Finance Committee.
Last session, Gunther was appointed Chair of the House Jobs and Economic Development Finance Committee.
“I am very pleased to once again serve as the leader of a committee that prioritizes workers in our state and potential economic opportunities,” Gunther said. “I enjoyed my time on the Jobs & Economic Development Finance committee, and I look forward to encouraging legislation that will help Minnesota’s work force.”
Gunther will also serve on the Ways and Means and Commerce, Banking, & Financial Institutions committees.
Gunther represents all or portions of Martin, Faribault and Watonwan Counties. The 2005 2006 session is Gunther’s sixth term in the House of Representatives.
