PELOWSKI PRESIDES OVER HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
ST. PAUL - State Representative Gene Pelowski took the gavel and served as Speaker of the House of Representatives for the first time Tuesday. Pelowski is one of four House members who serve as Speaker Pro-Tempore. The Speaker Pro-Tempore presides over the House floor activity when Speaker of the House Margaret Anderson Kelliher is not available.
"It's an honor to serve as Speaker and I enjoyed the opportunity to preside over the House," Pelowski said. "I'm looking forward to presiding more as legislation moves from committees to the House floor."
Pelowski also serves as Chair of the House Governmental Operations, Reform, Technology and Elections Committee.
