To the editor-
The Fourth of July is a time we can break from our hectic schedules, put the issues of the day aside and celebrate America’s birthday, enjoying the rare freedoms and liberties we share as citizens of our great nation.
Festivities will take place throughout the area and I will be attending the Erhard parade. This is a fantastic event which starts at 11:00 a.m., leaving enough time to see other happenings in the afternoon and evening. Another great parade occurs along the western shore of Otter Tail Lake. There also are many boat parades scheduled on area lakes.
Independence Day also gives us a chance to salute our soldiers who secured our freedom and continue making sacrifices in the name of liberty. I encourage you to offer a quick word of thanks to a current or former member of our military; it would mean the world to them.
Have fun, be safe and enjoy the spirit of Independence Day.
Sincerely,
Rep. Bud Nornes
