LETTER TO THE EDITOR

REMARKABLE DISPLAY OF PATRIOTISM

To the editor:

The Battle Lake students who recently planted 3,000 American flags on their school’s lawn should be proud of their remarkable display. It was a thoughtful show of patriotism to honor the lives of fellow Americans lost in the 9-11 Twin Tower attacks.

The six Battle Lake Teenage Republicans – Sadie Eitzen, Cole Eitzen, Zac Horvath, Nate Horvath, Megan Buchholz and Austin Bucholz – all should get a pat on the back for their effort. Jack Eitzen and Scott and Martha Buchholz also should be credited for helping with the accomplishment.
