LETTER TO THE EDITOR

WETLANDS FACILITY IS A LOCAL GEM

To the editor:

Congratulations to everyone involved in the new classroom addition and greenhouse at the Prairie Wetlands Learning Center. It will benefit fourth- and fifth-grade science students for years to come, helping local students learn about the environment in a whole new high-tech way.

A whole host of folks deserve a pat on the back for guiding this project to completion and I encourage area citizens to visit the PWLC so they can get a first-hand look at this impressive facility. A $2 million appropriation from the Legislature – along with generous grant money – has been put to amazing use and area kids will reap the rewards daily.
