NORNES EARNS SMALL-BUSINESS AWARD
ST. PAUL – State Rep. Bud Nornes, R-Fergus Falls, has earned the “Guardian of Small Business Award.”
Nornes recently was awarded by the National Federation of Independent Businesses – Minnesota’s largest small-business group – for his strong voting record according to the federation’s criteria.
“Rep. Nornes is a strong supporter of small business at the Capitol,” said Mike Hickey, State Director for NFIB/MN.
A press release from the NFIB stated “Rep. Nornes understands the vital role small businesses play in our state’s economy and realizes how many jobs are created by small businesses each year. He has made many votes in support of small business, including voting against a new 9-percent top income-tax hike in the minimum wage that would eliminate jobs, especially for younger workers. Small business has a real friend in Rep. Nornes and we are happy to announce that he has earned the “Guardian of Small Business Award.”
