NEWS RELEASE

DALTON RECEIVES INFRASTRUCTURE GRANT

ST. PAUL - State Rep. Bud Nornes, R-Fergus Falls, recently announced the city of Dalton’s application for a Small Cities Development program award has been approved in the amount of $500,000. The award is for construction of two new wells, construction of a water treatment facility and for work on water mains.

The SCDP encourages community development in rural Minnesota. Funding from the program is used to improve/repair things like rehabilitating buildings and improving the public infrastructure.

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development administers the Community Development Block Grant program for Greater Minnesota through the SCDP.
