St. Paul, Minnesota — Today, Governor Dayton’s E-12 Education budget bill was introduced in the Minnesota House of Representatives. House E-12 Education Finance Committee Chair Rep. Paul Marquart (DFL – Dilworth) is the chief author of the bill (HF 630) and released the following statement:
“We share the same priorities as Governor Dayton: building the world’s best workforce and ensuring that every child can receive a world-class education and enjoy economic opportunity.
“Education is essential to our state’s long-term success and we need to pursue new measures aimed at getting results and accountability while also making the necessary investments we have neglected for years. Over the coming days and weeks we will closely examine the governor’s budget bill and we look forward to working with Governor Dayton and Republicans in putting our kids on the path to the world’s best workforce.”
