ST. PAUL – On January 3rd Tim Mahoney, a pipefitter from St. Paul, was sworn in for his fifth term as State Representative for District 67A at the Capitol. With eight years of committed service under his belt, Rep. Mahoney brings valuable experience to this 85th legislative session.
In this term of office Mahoney is committed to fostering a legislative environment that creates good-paying jobs in Minnesota, keeps our streets safe, provides a great education for our children, and lowers property taxes. Rep. Mahoney has renewed his commitment to bipartisanship. He plans to work to promote civility and cooperation between both parties in order to move Minnesota forward.
"These are important issues facing our state," he said. "I consider it my responsibility to serve as a fair and reasonable voice for the people of St. Paul's east side and this state on these and other important legislative issues."
Rep. Mahoney will be bringing his extensive legislative experience to the table as Chair of the Biosciences and Emerging Technologies Committee. He is eager to lead the way on new and innovative endeavors in this role. Mahoney will also serve as a member of the Commerce and Labor Committee, Rules and Legislative Administration Committee, Finance Committee, Capital Investment Finance Division, and Higher Education and Workforce Development Policy and Finance Division.
