REPRESENTATIVE DEBRA HILSTROM APPONTED TO KEY COMMISSIONS
ST. PAUL – Minnesota House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher recently appointed State Representative Debra Hilstrom to serve on four commissions that consider issues from criminal justice to employee relations and fiscal state policy.
Hilstrom, chair of the House Local Government and Metropolitan Affairs Committee, will serve on the National Conference of State Legislatures Committee on Law and Criminal Justice, the Legislative Coordinating Commission on Employee Relations and the Criminal and Juvenile Justice Advisory Group and the Legislative Commission on Planning and Fiscal Policy. The appointments reflect Hilstrom's continued legislative focus on matters of law and public safety and issues relating to state and local governments.
In announcing the appointments, Speaker of the House Kelliher said, "I appreciate Rep. Hilstrom's willingness to give her time and expertise, and I'm confident she will serve the public interest well in this capacity."
