ST. PAUL - In its recently released legislative scorecard, the Minnesota League of Conservation Voters gave State Representative Alice Hausman (DFL-St. Paul) a 100% score for votes on conservation issues. The league designated 8 key votes to determine the scores. The votes ranged from a 20% renewable energy standard for Minnesota to protecting our state's forests and a bi-partisan bill investing in transit. The League agreed with Rep. Hausman's votes on all 8 issues. Hausman also received a 100% score last year.
"The last session was a disappointment for those of us who care about a sustainable future for our state. With the help and hard work of organizations like the Minnesota League of Conservation Voters, we will continue to push for that future," Hausman said.
This is the third honor Rep. Hausman has received from conservation groups for her work during the 2005 Legislative Session. Both the Minnesota Wildlife Management Area Coalition and Audubon Minnesota recently recognized Hausman.
The Minnesota League of Conservation Voters lists as its mission to educate voters on a broad range of conservation and environmental issues that are important to Minnesotans, cultivate legislative leadership and hold elected officials accountable.
