Joe Krivit, a junior at Como High School, received a first-hand look at the inner workings of state government by serving as a House of Representatives High School Page during the week of March 5. Krivit worked closely with members of the House at committee hearings and floor sessions. As part of the program, he also participated in seminars and roundtable discussions on important current issues, including the state budget, constitutional amendments, taxes, the environment and education.
“The High School Page program is perfect for students like Joe who have a strong interest in politics and government. It gives them an up-close view of our system of government and how public policy is made. I hope it shows students like Joe the value of public service as well," stated Rep. Hausman.
