REPRESENTATIVE HAUSMAN ENCOURAGES MINNESOTANS TO VISIT NEW WEBSITE ABOUT MILITARY AND OVERSEAS VOTING
State Representative Alice Hausman is encouraging all military personnel, their families and Minnesotans residing overseas to visit a new website with information about changes in Minnesota law that make it easier to vote in this fall's elections.
The result of legislation passed by the 2008 Legislature, the Military and Overseas Voter Service provides easy-to-follow instructions to assist eligible military and overseas voters to register and request absentee ballots.
"Minnesota has been a national leader in civic participation and voter turnout," said Hausman. "This new website helps to simplify the voting process for military personnel and their families and Minnesotans living abroad, and it will help ensure that every eligible voter is able to fully participate in elections."
