The 2013 legislative session got underway today as we took oaths of office in both the House and Senate.
It is good to be back at the Capitol. I look forward to working on behalf of the people in our district. New legislative district lines are now in place and I represent District 31B after previously serving District 48A.
Also, new rosters have been set for our legislative committees. I will continue serving in areas pertaining to energy and the environment, including as the minority lead with the Environment Policy Committee.
We face a number of challenges in Minnesota and there will be important decisions to make this session. I will get deeper into the issues in upcoming emails.
