Email Update: Precinct caucuses Tuesday

Dear Neighbor,

An important part of the political process is our precinct caucuses, which take place Tuesday, Feb. 7 throughout the state.

I highly encourage citizens to attend their local meetings. This is where citizens have an opportunity to decide what policies are important in national, state and local government, along with electing local leaders. Its grass-roots participation like this that ultimately influences the platforms of Minnesota's political parties. The more people we have participating in this process, the better, so feel free to bring along friends and family.

All Elk River residents will caucus at Elk River High School. Area residents who live outside the Elk River city limits can call Anoka County's election office at (763) 323-5275 to find their caucus location.

The Secretary of State website also has a statewide Caucus Finder page, where you can punch in your address to find your caucus location.

I hope you are able to attend your precinct caucus meeting Tuesday and use your voice at our system's ground level.
