Edina – Rep. Ron Erhardt received the Minnesota Citizens for the Arts (MCA) 2006 Arts All Star Award at a reception held Monday, June 26. He was honored for his tireless advocacy on behalf of the non-profit arts this legislative session. The award was presented by Sheila Smith, Executive Director of MCA, who thanked Rep. Erhardt for his vocal support of the arts.
Constituent, co-host of the reception and MCA member Heather Beal thanked Erhardt saying, “I believe that the arts should be a part of everyday life, that everyone should have a chance to experience work of the imagination and tap into their own creativity at any time, regardless of where they live or work. Rep. Erhardt has not only demonstrated a commitment to keep the arts alive and well in our community, but also throughout the state of Minnesota.”
MCA is a statewide arts advocacy organization whose mission is to ensure opportunity for all people to have access to and involvement in the arts. Working with over 32,000 arts advocates in Minnesota, MCA also lobbies for non-profit art programs at the MN State Capitol.
