REP. DAVIDS SWORN IN AS MINNESOTA HOUSE CONVENES SESSION
ST. PAUL - State Representative Greg Davids (R-Preston) was sworn in Tuesday, January 4 as he continues his tenure in the Minnesota House of Representatives. Rep. Davids represents District 31B, which includes all or portions of Houston and Fillmore counties.
"It continues to be an honor to serve the residents of District 31B in the Minnesota House," Davids said. "With our economy struggling and an unprecedented budget deficit looming, there will be important decisions made during this legislative session but I’m confident that we can find solutions to all of our challenges."
This session, Rep. Davids will serve as chairman of the powerful Minnesota House Taxes committee. He will also serve on three other House committees: Ways and Means, Commerce and Regulatory Reform, and the Veterans Services Division. Davids was also named Speaker Pro Tempore, meaning he will preside over the Minnesota House when House Speaker Kurt Zellers is unavailable.
