Representative Jim Abeler to Host Annual Senior Fair
ST. PAUL--State Representative Jim Abeler is hosting his 11th annual senior fair on Thursday, September 17 from 10 am to 12 noon. It will be held at the Anoka County Government Center 1st floor atrium. A recognized supporter of seniors, Rep. Abeler is pleased to again provide this opportunity for community building.
"These fairs offer information and resources to seniors to help them stay in their own homes longer, find health care support, get meals delivered, find respite care for their caregiver, and much more. Our senior fairs also present citizens of all ages the chance to discover ways to use their talents and volunteer to help their neighbors," stated Abeler.
Attendees will learn more about services offered to seniors by Anoka County and the State of Minnesota, as well as have the opportunity to discuss the issues they care about. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. As Rep. Abeler comments, "Anoka County has a large population of seniors, and the more we know about how to work together for our mutual benefit, the better it will be for all."
