MyBills Help

Adding Bills to your list

  • Add House and Senate bills to your list by bill number, subject, or author.
  • To select individual items, highlight the item.
  • To select more than one consecutive item in the list, hold down the shift key while you highlight the items.
  • To select nonconsecutive items, hold down the control key while you highlight the items.
  • Bill lists by author, subject, and bill number are updated daily.
  • Author and Subject searches only add bills that have been introduced before the date you add them.  Bills introduced by that author or on that topic after that date will NOT be automatically added to your list.  You will need to update your list by clicking again on the author or subject to add newly introduced bills to your list.
  • Lists can be modified at any time.
  • Lists will be retained until the end of the legislative biennium.

Bill Status

  • View the legislative status of your bills, with items with significant current action highlighted.
  • House bills display House status and Senate bills display Senate status by default. Each status screen contains links to the bill status in the other body.  Remember to check the House status of Senate bills and vice versa.
  • Right click on the bill status screen to open it in a new window.

Alerts

  • Alerts show only bills with significant current action. In the House, these actions include the General Register, Consent Calendar, Calendar for the Day, Supplemental Calendar for the Day, Fiscal Calendar, and Reports of Standing Committees. In the Senate, these actions include General Orders, Consent Calendar, the Calendar, and Reports of Committees. Actions from Conference Committees, such as Reports and Activity, are also included.

Your Notes

  • This is content that you can add to your list of bills. That data you enter is stored on the Minnesota House of Representatives database and you as a user are limited to 500 characters for each bill note. Your notes are only accessable by logging into your account(s).
