Amends laws governing filing of state documents with the Legislative Reference Library (LRL).

Distribution of reports. Amends the law governing filing of mandated reports to the legislature by requiring two (instead of six) copies of the report to be filed with the Legislative Reference Library (LRL), and by requiring the report to be made available electronically to the LRL. Strikes requirement for reports to be filed with the secretary of the senate and the chief clerk of the house of representatives. |

Checklist of state documents. Strikes requirements that the LRL’s checklist of state documents be distributed to legislators and that the Department of Administration provide copies for distribution to state agencies and public, university, and college libraries. Provides for the checklist to be made available on the LRL website. |

State documents. Under current law, the LRL is a depository for all documents published by the state that are considered to be of interest or value to the library. This section strikes language that limits “documents” to those issued in print. |

Reporting requirements. Strikes a requirement that ten copies of the State Auditor’s report on volunteer fire relief association be filed with the LRL. Instead provides that the report must be filed as provided by section 3.195 (two copies and also available to the LRL electronically). |

State Board of Investment; prospectus. Strikes a requirement that ten copies of the State Board of Investment prospectus for the supplemental investment fund be filed with the LRL. Finance; daily report. Strikes requirement that the commissioner of finance (MMB) send the LRL a copy of certain daily balance reports from state depositories. Requires that the commissioner maintain a record on its website of specified depositories. |

Health boards; administrative services report. Strikes a requirement that ten copies of the health boards’ annual administrative services report be filed with the LRL. Instead provides that the report must be filed as provided by section 3.195 (two copies and also available to the LRL electronically). |
