Temporary Research Consultant position in the DFL Caucus of the Minnesota House of Representatives.
Responsibilities include working with House committees, individual legislators, and appropriate legislative staff to summarize legislation, draft amendments, track bills, and maintain communication between legislators, staff, and other interested parties.
We prefer someone with: (1) a graduate or professional degree and equivalent experience in a pertinent field; (2) demonstrated ability to provide research and analysis; (3) excellent oral and written communication skills; (4) PC experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word. Knowledge or experience in issues relating to public safety and civil law are desired. Must have the ability to work long and irregular hours especially during session.
Entry salary range: $884.80 - $1,087.60 per week, commensurate with experience.
