Telecommunication Technician - Sergeant at Arms

Non-partisan, full-time position with benefits in the Minnesota House of Representatives as the Telecommunication Technician. Primary duties of the position involve the programming, maintenance and operation of the House telecommunications systems; position will also provide general assistance to the House Purchaser in procurement and purchasing as necessary.

Seeking a self-starter able to work effectively within a team environment as well as independently to achieve the needs of House members and staff. Ability to troubleshoot and work well under pressure necessary. Must demonstrate high level of discretion with privileged and confidential information and provide professional, non-partisan service to all House members and staff.

Experience in these functional areas, including knowledge of telephone, data communications, integration of voice and data communication systems with computers and electronic devices and building/facility services strongly preferred. Requires PC competency, strong customer service skills and organizational abilities. Accounting system experience and college degree a plus.

Entry salary: $2,131.71 semi-monthly commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits.
