Information Technology Analyst - Chief Clerk's Office


Full-time nonpartisan position with benefits is available in the Chief Clerk’s Office of the Minnesota House of Representatives IT Department.

The IT Analyst provides technical analysis, support and training to the Chief Clerks office staff. The applicant will be expected to demonstrate actual experience in analyzing a department’s technical service needs, proposing possible solutions, and implementing those solutions in a customer-friendly manner.

The Information Technology Analyst position performs a variety of technical and analytical duties in the operation of enterprise, client/server and desktop computer systems. The duties include supporting and training Chief Clerk's Office staff. That includes applications support and maintenance. Computer systems support assisting in the deployment of customized Microsoft Office applications.

Candidates must be a motivated nonpartisan professional with excellent technical, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment needed. Must be flexible and able to work long and irregular hours during the legislative session.

Knowledge/Experience:

Strong troubleshooting skills

Microsoft Windows 7, High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Novell E Directory

Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously

Self-motivated with a willingness to learn

BA/BS or equivalent experience

Entry salary: $2,138.66 - $2,588.68 semi-monthly, commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits.
