Duplicating Technician/Administrative Assistant - Chief Clerk's Office


Full-time position with benefits to start immediately in the Chief Clerk's Office. Primary duties of the position involve the maintenance and operation of the duplicating/printing equipment in the Chief Clerk's Office and to provide general administrative support in the production of documents related to House Floor sessions, including bills and journals. Interim work primarily involves assisting with the proofreading and printing of the Permanent Journal of the House.

Looking for a self-starter who is able to work independently to maintain inventories of paper and supplies, troubleshoot to keep machines running, and to help coordinate the placement of service calls, when necessary. Experience with the operation of the Docutech machine and other copying equipment preferred. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for purposes of inventory management required.

Ability to anticipate and prepare for print jobs, handle pressure and meet tight deadlines in a professional manner is essential. Good communication and organizational skills are needed. Accuracy and attention to detail required. Long and irregular hours during the legislative session are to be expected.

Entry salary: $1,528.51 semi-monthly, commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits.
