Representative Jim Davnie, Chair of Property and Local Tax Division, called the meeting to order at 4:08 P.M. April 2, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Carlson moved that the minutes from the Joint Taxes and Property and Local Tax Division hearing on February 26, 2013, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
Representative Erickson, S moved that the minutes from the Joint Taxes and Property and Local Tax Division hearing on March 5, 2013, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
Representative Mahoney moved that the minutes from the Joint Taxes and Property and Local Tax Division hearing on March 19, 2013, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
Representative Loeffler moved that the minutes from March 20, 2013, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

HF1680 (Dehn) Hennepin County; reimbursement provided to taxing jurisdictions for property tax disaster abatements, and money appropriated.

Chair Davnie moved that the A13-0366 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Nina Manzi, Pat Dalton, Steve Hinze and Joel Michael, from the House Research Department, and Katherine Schill, from the House Fiscal Analysis Department, presented a walkthrough of
HF2 (Davnie) Property tax refunds modified, homeowner homestead credit refund threshold percentage decreased, and rent percentage constituting property taxes increased.
Questions by committee members were answered by the presenters over the course of the presentation.
