Representative Murphy, Chair of Committee on State Government Finance and Veterans Affairs, called the meeting to order at 12:30 February 25, 2013 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Edward McDonald, Executive Director; presented an overview and review of Governor's recommendations for Council on Black Minnesotans.
Kimberly Spates, Treasurer for Council on Black Minnesotans spoke about the budget recommendations from the Governor.
Edward McDonald answered questions from committee members.
Hector Garcia, Executive Director and Sarah Goodspeed, Legislative and Community Relation Manager; presented an overview and review of Governor's recommendations for Chicano Latino Affairs Council.

Annamarie Hill Kleinhans, Executive Director and JoLynn Shopteese, Legislative Director; presented and overview and review of Governor's recommendations for Indian Affairs Council.

Tran Nhon, Board Member and Souvan Lee, Research Analyst; presented an overview and review of Governor's recommendations for Asian Pacific Americans Council.

Chair Murphy announced at 1:56 that the committee was in recess until 6:45 PM tonight.
Chair Murphy announced at 6:47 PM that the State Government Finance and Veterans Affairs committee would reconvene from recess.
Matt Massman, Deputy Commissioner and Terri Steenblock, Assistant Commissioner; presented an overview and review of Governor's recommendations for Dept. of Revenue.

Jim Schowalter, Commissioner and Dennis Munkwitz, Chief Financial Officer; presented an overview and review of Governor's Recommendations for Minnesota Management and Budget.

Ann O'Brien, Assistant Commissioner for MMB answered questions from committee members.
Representative Newton moved approval of the minutes from the meeting of Wednesday, February 20, 2013. MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
Chair Murphy announced that the next meeting would be on Wednesday, February 27, 2013.
Meeting adjourned 9:14 PM.
