Representative Erin Murphy, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:32 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2013, in Room 118 of the State Capitol.

Representative Benson moved approval of the Tuesday, March 5, 2013 minutes.

Chair Erin Murphy moved that
HF1184 (Murphy) be re-referred to the State Government Finance Committee and that subsequent actions on this bill under rule 2.03 of the Joint Rules be waived.

HF1183 (Kahn) be re-referred to the Legacy Committee and that subsequent actions on this bill under rule 2.03 of the Joint Rules be waived.

HF1233 (Huntley) be re-referred to the Health and Human Services Finance Committee and that subsequent actions on this bill under rule 2.03 of the Joint Rules be waived.

Chair Erin Murphy brought forward the Minnesota House of Representatives Legal Fees for Recounts.
Jim Reinholdz, Controller of Minnesota House of Representatives Budget and Accounting Department explained the Legal Fees for Recounts.
Chair Erin Murphy moved 2013 - R12, Motion on Payment of Legal Fees for candidate Bob Cunniff.
Jim Reinholdz, Controller of Minnesota House of Representatives Budget and Accounting Department testified on the resolution.

Chair Erin Murphy moved 2013 – R13, Motion on Payment of Legal Fees for candidate Mary Franson.

HF143 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.
Rep. Persell presented
HF143 (Persell) authorizing placement of a plaque in the court of honor on the Capitol grounds to honor American Indian veterans from this state.
Rep. Persell moved to amend
HF143 with amendment H0143A1.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Chair Erin Murphy renewed the motion that
HF143 as amended be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.
