ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES POLICY COMMITTEE
MINUTES
Representative David Dill, Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Policy Committee, called the fourth meeting to order at 4:05 p.m., on February 6, 2013, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Fischer moved the minutes of January 30, 2013, be approved.
MOTION PREVAILED
Representative McNamara moved
HF327 - allowing use of three lines to take fish through ice - be laid over for possible inclusion in the Game & Fish Omnibus bill.
Representative Nornes presented
HF327.
Dirk Peterson, Department of Natural Resources Fisheries Program Manager, commented on
HF327 and answered questions from the committee members.
Representative McNamara renewed his motion that
HF327 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Game & Fish Omnibus bill.
Representative Persell moved
HF141 - relating to elections; soil and water conservation districts - be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.
Representative Ward presented
HF141. Jennifer Wagenius, Washington County Director of Property Records & Taxpayer Services, provided background on behalf of the bill.
Representative Persell renewed his motion that
HF141 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.
MOTION PREVAILED
Bob Meier and Kathy DonCarlos of the Department of Natural Resources provided brief background information on the recent move by the department to close the moose hunting season.
