MINUTES
Representative Simon, Chair of Committee on Elections, called the meeting to order at 12:30pm January 29, 2013 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.
Rep. Halverson moved approval of the minutes from the meeting on Thursday January 24, 2013. The motion prevailed.
HF141 (Soil and water conservation; district timeline modified in which a copy of the resolution establishing supervision districts is filed)
Chair Simon moved that
HF141 be recommended to pass and placed on the general register.
Testimony regarding
HF141 (Ward):
Jennifer Wagenius, Director Property Records and Taxpayer Services
Chair Simon renewed the motion that
HF141 be recommended to pass and be placed on the general register. The motion prevailed.
HF136 (Campaign finance and public disclosure law public official definition expanded to include judges and county commissioners).
Chair Simon moved that
HF136 be recommended to pass and placed on the general register.
Chair Simon moved to amend
HF136 (see attached A1 amendment). The motion prevailed.
Testimony regarding 136 (Hanson) as amended:
Jeff Siegurdson, Campaign Finance Disclosure Board and Bo Berentson, Association of MN Counties.
HF136 as amended was laid over.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:07pm.
