Representative Mariani, Chair of Committee on Education Policy, called the meeting to order at 10:02 January 17, 2013 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Mariani moved that the minutes of January 15, 2013 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED

The following people provided a presentation and testimony on Irondale High School's Early College Program:

Dan Hoverman, Superintendent
Scott Gengler, Principle
Amy Alvarez, Dean of Students
Rich Rosivach, Instructional Facilitator
Michael Werner, Representative from Anoka Ramsey County Community College

The following people provided a presentation and testimony on redesigning the transition from secondary to post-secondary education:

Brenda Cossellius, Commissioner of Education
Lawrence Pogemiller, Commissioner of Higher Education
Steven Rosenstone, MnSCU Chancellor

The meeting was adjourned at 11:31.
