MINUTES

Representative Atkins, Chair of Committee on Commerce and Consumer Protection Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 4:09 PM on March 13, 2013 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Hoppe moved that the minutes from the meeting on March 12, 2013 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF654 (Laine) Preneed funeral insurance regulated.

Rep. Atkins moved that HF654 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

Rep. Atkins moved that HF654 be recommended to pass, as amended, and re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1254 (Simonson) Duluth authorized to issue a 3.2 malt liquor license for the premises know as Wheeler Field.

Rep. Atkins moves that HF1254 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Liquor Omnibus Bill.

HF1198 (Dehn) Brewers with production over 3,500 barrels allowed to sell growlers at off-sale.

Rep. Dehn moved that HF1198 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Liquor Omnibus Bill.

HF746 (Atkins) Liquor Citation Clarified

Rep. Atkins moved that HF746 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

Rep. Atkins moved the H0746DE4 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Lillie/ moved the H0746A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.


Rep. Fritz moved the H0746A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Dehn moved the H0746A3 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Atkins moved that HF746 be recommended to pass, as amended, and re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF634 (Falk) Sales from bulk clarified to ensure compliance with biodiesel fuel mandate, identical product pricing requirement added, technical updates made to bring state into compliance with most recent federal fuel standards, and E 85 requirements modified.

Rep. Atkins moved that HF634 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.
