MINUTES

Representative Atkins, Chair of Committee on Commerce and Consumer Protection Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 4:05 PM February 19, 2013 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present

Rep. Dehn moved that the minutes from the meeting on February 6, 2013 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Hoppe assumed the gavel.

HF365 (Freiberg) Electronic fund transfers regulated, and providing that Uniform Commercial Code article 4A does not apply to a remittance transfer that is not an electronic funds transfer under the federal Electronic Fund Transfer Act.

Rep. Hoppe moved HF365 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

Rep. Hoppe moved amendment H0365A1. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Rep. Hoppe moved HF365 be passed, as amended, and re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF290 (Simon) False claims provisions modified

Rep. Hoppe moved HF290 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Policy.
