MINUTES
Representative Poppe, Chair of Committee on Agriculture Policy, called the meeting to order at 8:15 a.m. February 13, 2013 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.
Representative Faust moved approval of the minutes of Thursday, Fubruary 7, 2013. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Chair Poppe renewed her motion that
HF151 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture Finance.
Representative Hansen continued his presentation on
HF151(Hansen) increasing the pesticide gross sales fees and dedicating the proceeds to updating pesticide applicator education and certification.
Beverly Durgan, Dean, University of Minnesota Extension testified on
HF151.
Representative Hamilton urged a no vote and requested a roll-call vote.
Bill Bond, Minnesota Crop Production Retailers testified on
HF151.
Thom Peterson, Minnesota Farmers Union testified on
HF151.
HF151 was laid over.
Representative Jay McNamar presented on Agriculture in his district.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:46 a.m. February 13, 2013.
