MINUTES
Representative Poppe, Chair of Committee on Agriculture Policy, called the meeting to order at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.
Chair Poppe moved that
HF151 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture Finance.
Representative Hansen presented
HF151 (Hansen) increasing the pesticide gross sales fees and dedicating the proceeds to updating pesticide applicator education and certification.
Testimony regarding commercial pesticide licensing and private certification was heard from:
Greta Gauthier, Government Relations Director, MN Department of Agriculture
Joe Spitzmueller, Pesticide and Fertilizer Division, Minnesota Department of Agriculture
HF151 was laid over.
Representative Faust moved approval of the minutes of Wednesday, February 6, 2013. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Brandon Roiger, FFA Region VI President, presented on agriculture literacy.
Representative Kresha presented on agriculture in his district.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013.
