Representative Peppin Chair of the Government Operations and Elections Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:25 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2011 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

Representative Scalze moved approval of the minutes from March 1, 2011. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
Chair Peppin moved confirmation of the appointment of David P. Swenson to the Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF287 (Hamilton) Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week proposed.
Representative Scalze moved that HF287 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.
Representative Scalze renewed her motion that HF287 be recommended to pass, and be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND HF287 WAS RECOMMENDED TO PASS.
HF561 (Beard) Election recount requirements and procedures modified.
Representative Beard moved that HF561 be recommended to pass, and placed on the General Register.
Representative Beard moved an oral amendment to delete Section 4 of HF561. THE MOTION PREVAILED, AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
