GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS AND ELECTIONS
MINUTES
Representative Peppin, Chair of the Government Operations and Elections Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2011, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Nelson moved to approve the minutes from February 2, 2011. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
HF1 (Fabian) Environmental permitting efficiency provided, and environmental review requirements modified.
Representative McFarland moves that
HF1 be recommended to pass, and be placed on the General Register.

HF89 (Benson) Voter picture identification required before receiving a ballot, voter identification card provided at no charge, and provisional balloting procedure established.
Representative Quam moved that
HF89 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the House Committee on State Government Finance.
Representative Quam moved the 0089A1 amendment to
HF89. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
